Taylor Swift Subpoenaed: Star Dragged Into Blake Lively & Justin Baldoni’s Legal Mess

Taylor Swift Subpoenaed

The news outlet reports that sources say Taylor has been subpoenaed as a witness in the Lively-Baldoni legal battle.

However, Taylor’s camp is ripping the legal notice saying she was a witness on the set of “It Ends With Us”. As readers know, the drama that happened on set has sparked a volatile legal war between Justin and Blake.

Rep Makes Statement

A spokesperson for Swift told the media outlet why they are blasting the subpoena. The spokesperson explained to the website,

“Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film, she did not even see ‘It Ends With Us’ until weeks after its public release, and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024 headlining the biggest tour in history.”

My Tears Ricochet

The rep added that the only connection Swift had to “It Ends With Us” was allowing the use of her song, “My Tears Ricochet”. Taylor’s involvement with that was simply licensing one song, which 19 other artists did as well.

Tabloid Clickbait

Taylor’s rep went even further by saying that the subpoena is being used to draw public interest in the case. The rep even called it creating “tabloid clickbait” instead of focusing on the facts.

Justin Baldoni’s Claim

As previously reported, Justin says that Taylor was way more involved than just licensing a song. The actor claims that Taylor gave a thumbs up to Isabela Ferrer being cast as a young Lily Bloom.

There was also a meeting between Justin and Blake at her penthouse, located in New York City. In that meeting, they were discussing a rewritten scene.

Things got “super heated” and Justin felt ambushed since Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, was also in attendance. Then, Taylor reportedly showed up.

Taylor and Blake are good friends. After the meeting, Blake texted Justin, referring to Ryan and Taylor as her “protecting dragons”.
