Fans have a feeling that Taylor Swift wants her own Broadway show. She hasn’t had much luck in the Hollywood industry. Her acting career is dead on arrival. Taylor has been too busy with touring and recording music to produce the new movie she has in the works. She might set her sights on the smaller stage. Keep on reading to learn more.
Taylor Swift – Copyrighted Female Rage
The famed singer-songwriter is a theatre kid. Taylor Swift may be setting her sights on the Broadway lights instead of Hollywood.
She dropped a clue on social media that suggests she could be penning a musical. If it can work for Ariana Grande, it can work for her.
Swift surprised fans at her Eras Tour in Paris with a new section dedicated to her new album, The Tortured Poets Department.
Recently, she filed a trademark for Female Rage: The Musical via TAS Rights Management, LLC. The pop star’s management group filed the paperwork on Saturday, per NBC News.
Taylor Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour carried on May 9 after its brief hiatus. It headed to the City of Light for a four-show run. Swift added four new songs from her latest album, which was released on April 19. She shared photos of the new tour on social media.
“This post is dedicated to the new Tortured Poets section of the Eras Tour (aka Female Rage The Musical!) and everyone who made these memories so magical,” Swift wrote.
“To my crew, fellow performers, and band who worked tirelessly in their break to concoct this surprise for you — but mostly for the fans in Paris. I’m so thankful it was you we got to show this to for the first time because you gave us so much excitement, passion, and love. I’m SO fired up to play this for every crowd in on the tour.”
Female Rage – The Musical Coming Soon?
Taylor Swift filed the trademark just in time. This doesn’t indicate that a musical is coming to Broadway. It only lays out what she can do with the trademark, per TMZ.
For example, she could release a musical or video recording. She can even use the trademark for new merchandise.
Most Swifties believe the trademark is reserved for merch. Some are hoping that Swift will make her Broadway dreams come true. The “Fortnite” singer wants to earn an EGOT.
In addition, Female Rage: The Musical could be a visual film that includes performances from the TTPD section of the Eras Tour, which she could drop on DisneyPlus.
