Taylor Swift’s Team Defends Her Dad Scott After He Was Accused Of Assaulting A Photographer

It was a shocking headline to read, no doubt, for Swifties when it was revealed that Scott Swift, aka Papa Swift, allegedly assaulted a 51-year-old photographer.

In all the years since his daughter found worldwide fame, and we can all agree that he’s been often by her side, he’s never done something of this nature.

I mean, this isn’t the first time that he’s seen firsthand the flurry that accompanies his daughter everywhere she goes, so why should he react in such manner?

Ay, fans were still scratching their heads seeking an answer, when Taylor Swift’s team provided it; he was only protecting his daughter like he’s done all his life.

Taylor Swift’s team has responded to reports stating that the global superstar’s father attacked a photographer who was looking to get close to his daughter.

However, a representative told Variety almost immediately after the news surfaced that at the time of the incident, two people had tried to get closer to Taylor, even threatening her staff in the process.

“Two individuals were aggressively pushing their way towards Taylor, grabbing at her security personnel, and threatening to throw a female staff member into the water,” the spokesperson said.

The New South Wales is yet to confirm the identity of the man who allegedly harassed the 51-year-old photographer, only that he is 71 years of age (Taylor’s dad is 71!) and that he assaulted the latter at Neutral Bay Wharf in Sydney at 2:30 a.m.

The 51-year-old photographer has been identified as Ben McDonald, and while no medical assistance was needed, the younger man still reported the incident.

In addition, TMZ shared a video of a man resembling Scott walking along with a woman who might have been Taylor. When a photographer starts taking pictures, a member of Taylor Swift’s team blocks them with an umbrella, but this leads to an exchange of words.

Lately, Taylor completed her seventh Eras Tour date in Australia.
