There’s nothing like working with someone you generally want to spend time with, so if you hear Ted Danson and Woody Harrelson chatting on their podcast, they’re having the time of their lives.
So far, they’ve got six episodes down. Here’s what you can expect from the former “Cheers“ stars’ podcast.
Ted Danson – Gets Candid About Topics Explored By Him And Woody Harrelson In Upcoming Podcast
The podcast space has really heated up in recent years with a number of celebrities starting up their own podcasts as a way to boost their income stream and connect to their audience. Ted Danson and Woody Harrelson are now joining in on the podcast cash out.
At Monday’s the WaterFire Arts Center in Providence, which saw Ted Danson receiving the honor of the Pell Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Arts, the star opened up about the podcast.
“We both had so much fun,” Danson, 75, told PEOPLE. “I get to hang out with my buddy, Woody.”
He revealed that fans shouldn’t expect them to only talk on topics relating to their time on “Cheers,” as he explained that they will be branching out to other topics, including those that are relevant in our day to day lives.
“We get to reminisce and share and catch up with each other, which is alone enough, but we also have met many people between us who we can talk to and find out what they’re doing, including Senator [John] Kerry who had a small [role] in Cheers and we can talk to him about climate change,” the actor explained. “We can really go anywhere with it.”
The podcast will be launching this October, and while they’ve got six episodes down, more will be recorded once Harrelson, 61, wraps up filming for his latest movie.
The first time Danson opened up about the podcast was at “Cheer’s” reunion panel at ATX TV Festival in Austin, Texas, over the weekend, where he said, “We are going to celebrate Cheers and we are going to catch up, and we are having a ball.”
