Teresa Giudice Didn’t Sign A Prenup Before Marrying Husband Luis Ruelas

Just as she said about 8 months ago, in February, Teresa Giudice saw to her word that she won’t get a prenup before getting married to her husband Luis Ruelas. On that glorious day, in February, during an appearance in “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” Teresa told Andy that she might not be getting a prenup with Luis, eight months later she confirmed in the same show Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” that she didn’t get the prenup before tying the knot with Luis in August.

Before I go into Teresa’s reason for not signing a prenup with Luis before their marriage, let me quickly add that Teresa signed a prenup before getting married to her ex-husband Joe Giudice, after their divorce, Teresa got the house and Joe got nothing from the divorce, this is because Teresa paid off the dept Joe owed when they returned from prison. Now, when Teresa said she might not be getting a prenup for her second marriage, Andy warned her then to make sure she does as it is needful to protect the finance which she worked so hard to build for herself over the years that followed her divorce.

On Tuesday, Oct. 18, Teresa made another appearance on WWHL with Andy Cohen there, a fan asked Teresa “We love you. We love you and Louie’s love. And I wonder, did you happen to follow uncle Andy’s advice and get a prenup?” Well, to answer her question, Teresa kept it short and simple, she said “No. True love. True love, yes.” Now, remember that Andy had previously warned and advised Teresa on the importance of getting a prenup? Teresa’s answer didn’t seem to bother him anymore as much as it did the first time he heard it, Andy simply said, “All right. Personal decision.”

Teresa went on to recall how she was made to sign a prenup before marrying her ex-husband Joe, she said that at first, she didn’t want to go through with the idea, she even wanted to call off the wedding but her Italian mom who’s every bit old school advised her against it. Teresa said she finally agreed to sign a prenup only if they added that on grounds of infidelity the prenup is void – which they agreed to.

During the February episode of WWHL with Andy Cohen, Teresa’s daughter Gia Giudice asked Andy why her mom should get a prenup, when Andy replied with a question asking “Why wouldn’t she sign a prenup? Why wouldn’t she sign a prenup to protect what she has and to protect what he has?” Gia went on to say that her dad made her mom sign a prenup and she didn’t like it. “I really didn’t like that my dad really did make her sign a prenup before the wedding. … I don’t know, I think my mom, she’s so high up that she’s not gonna want to take anything from him, and I think he would never want to take from her.”

Although Teresa admitted that she has nothing against signing a prenup and that if Luis had asked her to sign one she would, it’s just she has no intention of taking anything that belongs to Luis even though Luis has more she Teresa has. Andy said, “I know, but you put it in writing! You just put it in writing, but of course they don’t want to take anything from each other.”
