Teresa Giudice Weighs In On Fellow Real Housewives’ Star Jen Shah’s Prison Sentence

Teresa Giudice cannot relate or even understand why Jen Shah would participate in a fraud. On the Wednesday episode of the Namaste B$tches podcast, the reality TV star talked about fellow Real Housewives’ franchise star Jen Shah and the shame of her sentence.

Teresa Giudice – Can’t Imagine Why A Mother Would Want To Steal Anybody’s Money

Teresa Giudice is once again telling it like it is.

On Friday, Jan. 6, Shah, 49, was sentenced to 78 months in prison (6.5 years) for being part of an organized scheme to defraud people of their hard-earned money.

No stranger to legal battles herself – Giudice spent 11 months in prison for mail, wire, and bankruptcy in 2015 – she acknowledged that stealing from people is not something she’ll ever understand or want to be a part of.

“I wouldn’t steal anybody’s money,” Giudice, 50, told fellow podcast host Melissa Pfeister in Namaste B$tches. “I would not do that. I would never do that. That’s so bad.”

“I’m a mother first. That was my first priority always since I started the show,” she added. “I always put my kids first.”

Giudice then explained that the shame of explaining something like that to her kids would be enormous. “But when you’re stealing from people and the kids could read this, and be like, ‘Mom, well why’d you do this’, what do you say to your kids to that?”

Teresa Giudice shares four daughters with ex-husband Joe Guidice – their eldest Gia is aged 22 and the youngest Audriana is aged 13.

Since debuting on the Real Housewives of New Jersey in 2009, Giudice has joined the list of the longest running housewives. Apart from being horrified that Jen Shah would be found guilty of such a crime, Giudice also offered Shah advise that the best thing she could do while she served her sentence would be to “keep it together.”

Teresa Giudice – All We Know About Jen Shah’s Prison Sentence And Her Pledge To Society

On Feb. 17, Shah will report to prison to begin her sentence, per a report by Inner City Press’ Matthew Lee. While it’s not yet clear the exact facility she will be doing time in, it is understood that it will be in the “Texas region.”

After leaving prison, Shah will serve five years of supervised release to make sure she doesn’t go back to her old unlawful ways.

Following the Friday sentence, her attorney Priya Chaudhry issued a statement to PEOPLE detailing how the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City wants to move forward after she comes out from prison.

“Jen Shah deeply regrets the mistakes that she has made and is profoundly sorry to the people she has hurt. Jen has faith in our justice system, understands that anyone who breaks the law will be punished, and accepts this sentence as just. Jen will pay her debt to society and when she is a free woman again, she vows to pay her debt to the victims harmed by her mistakes,” read the statement.
