Ryan Eggold 'The Blacklist' and 'New Amsterdam' Alum Lands New TV RoleRyan Eggold is going to be making a major comeback to our screens with a role in FX’s new drama pilot ‘Seven Sisters.’

All We Know About Ryan Eggold’s New Role In ‘Seven Sisters’

Perhaps Ryan Eggold is not done solving mysterious crimes, or even being a part of them, because he has been named a recurring member of FX’s drama pilot ‘Seven Sisters.’

This puts him in line with Elizabeth Olsen, Cristin Milioti, Meredith Hagner, Odessa Young, Zoë Winters, Bridget Brown and Carolyn Kettig, all of whom will play the titular sisters. Philip Ettinger will play the septet’s brother and Anthony Edwards and J. Smith-Cameron will star as their parents.

According to Deadline, the new FX drama series “follows a large, tight-knit family that begins to unravel when one sister, Adrienne (Olsen), starts communicating with a voice no one else can hear, forcing them to confront long-buried secrets.”

Eggold’s recurring role will see him play Adrienne’s ex-husband – a former addict who shares his experiences on his popular podcast.

Executive producer Will Arbery penned the script for the pilot, with Sean Durkin and Garrett Basch rounding it out as the series directors.

Eggold has been going from strength to strength since he starred in his breakout role in NBC’s ‘The Blacklist,’ where he played recurring character Tom Keen across the show’s first five seasons.

In 2017, he returned to reprise the role for ‘The Blacklist: Redemption,’ though the spinoff suffered a very short run.

However, his performance in the crime thriller must have amazed the network because shortly after, he joined ‘New Amsterdam’ and played lead character Dr. Max Goodwin for all five seasons.

He is just coming off playing the villain in the first season of Prime Video’s ‘Cross.’ He has also been kept busy starring in a semi-autobiographical play ‘Yellow Face,’ which premiered on Broadway last year, alongside Daniel Dae Kim. Fans of ‘New Amsterdam’ might remember that Kim played Dr. Cassian Shin in seasons 2,3, and 5 of the TV drama.

Eggold is repped by Gersh, 3 Arts, and attorney David Matlof.
