Blue Ivy – Makes Big Comeback After Sister Rumi Overtakes Her As Youngest Person To Chart On Billboard
Blue Ivy has been making her mark on both the music and fashion world, and now she’s got her sight set on breaking into the movie industry.
This won’t be Blue Ivy’s first narration work though, as the youngster’s talent was tapped to narrate the audiobook version of New York Times bestseller “Hair Love” by Matthew A. Cherry.
While doing something as big as Disney’s “The Lion King” must feel daunting, having mom on set would probably make it less so.
On April 29, the trailer for “The Lion King: Mufasa” dropped, alerting fans to the fact that the BET award winner – no, I don’t mean the mom – has been tapped to voice Kiara, the daughter of King Simba (Donald Glover) and Queen Nala (Beyoncé).
In the trailer, we hear the odd but wise monkey Rafiki narrate, “This story begins far beyond the mountains in the shadows on the other side of the light. A lion was born without a drop of nobility in his blood. A lion who would change our lives forever.”
The movie, like the 2019 version, will combine live shooting with photoreal computer-generated imagery.

In an interview with US breakfast show Good Morning America, director Barry Jenkins revealed that Blue Ivy was “professional” about her job while Beyoncé had a “mom first” approach to bringing her daughter on set.
