The Miz Shares How Bad Bunny Turned Down His Music Collab Request

The history between the WWE Superstar Mike “The Miz” and the Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny, goes way back to WWE Royal Rumble 2021. That year, Bunny was invited by the WWE to perform his song “Booker T” with a WWE legend who bears the same name Booker T.

Being that Bunny is a very big fan of the WWE superstar, he obliged to perform his song with Booker. It so happened that before The Miz entered into the “Men’s Royal Rumble Match,” he destroyed Bunny’s musical equipments.

Though another WWE superstar Damian Priest came to the aid of Bad Bunny by eliminating The Miz from the Royal Rumble that same night, that was the beginning of the feud between The Miz and Bad Bunny.

Bad Bunny Politely Declined A Music Collab With The Miz

In a recent interview with E! News, the two-time WWE Champion The Miz shared with co-hosts Adrienne Bailon-Houghton and Justin Sylvester, how he and his former tag-team partner John Morrison, went over to Bunny to ask for a music collaboration with him.

The Miz who sees Bunny as “the biggest musician in the world,” explained that he has no singing talents, and neither does his partner Morrison. Miz also shared that it was Morrison’s idea to pitch in a music collab with the “La Jumpa” singer.

There’s a probability that Bunny knows that both The Miz and Morrison can’t sing or rap so “He said no, politely,” said The Miz before adding, “And then, we had a wrestling match afterwards at WrestleMania.”

Speaking of how it all went down, The Miz said, “John Morrison would always be like, ‘Hey, we should do a rap video,’ and I’m like, ‘Great. I can’t rap, nor can I sing, nor do I have a voice,’ and he goes, ‘Neither can I, but we can do it.’ So, imagine going up to the biggest musician in the world, Bad Bunny, and going, ‘Let’s do a collab.’ What do you think he would say?”

John Morrison Said Bad Bunny Is “Humble”

Whilst the storyline between The Miz, John Morrison, Bad Bunny, and Damian Priest revolved around The Miz destroying Bunny’s music equipments, it didn’t stop The Miz from going up to Bunny and requesting to collaborate with him.

In a recent appearance at the “Power Up” show, Morrison, The Miz’s former partner told host Tony Horton that he and the Miz met Bunny for the collab three times and were turned down three times by the “Moscow Mule” rapper.

“I don’t know if you know this, but me and The Miz asked him if he wanted to do a song with us like three times. He [Bad Bunny] said no,” said Morrison to Horton.

While Morrison spoke of the collab turn down, he didn’t fail to acknowledge how much work Bunny put in just to deliver that beautiful performance at Wrestlemania 37, Night 1. “[Bad Bunny] He’s humble, he moved to Orlando to train. He just really wanted to do a good job.”

After Bunny’s outstanding performance at Wrestlemania 37 where he defeated The Miz and John Morrison with the help of his partner Damian, the rapper never showed his face in WWE again, until last year’s Royal Rumble.

Bunny’s appearance at WWE Royal Rumble 2022 was a huge surprise to the WWE Universe. Bunny lasted 8mins in the Rumble and although he eliminated Sheamus, he was sent home by “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesner.

Recently, there’s been talks of Bunny coming back to WWE. It’s been said that Bunny had a meeting with WWE’s Chief Operating Officer Triple H about making his return to WWE to live his dream.

Guys, Royal Rumble is full of shock and surprises, who knows, Bad Bunny might show up at the Rumble as No. 30. Anyways, we can’t wait until Sunday to find out.
