Rae is definitely not a newcomer, but with the release of her single, she reintroduces herself to the world as a musician. She’s also working on her acting career, being one of the two lead characters to appear in Netflix’s gender-swapped remake of “She’s All That,” titled “He’s All That.”
Addison Rae News – A Song about Self-love
The song is upbeat with a catchy rhythm that’s going to be hard to get off anybody’s head, especially when she sings this catchy line, “I’m obsessed with me-e-e as much as you.”
In honor of her song, she also appeared on 102.7KIISFM to talk about her very first single, which she’s been working on for a while, and other things about the new career choice she’s decided to undertake. She also talked about the creative process associated with writing the song, admitting that the song had started out as a story she told in the studio, before they worked on developing it into a song. She also said that she believes that the song is something everyone should feel or work towards feeling.
She’s big about being involved in each part of the process from songwriting to recording, and just doesn’t want to be one of those artists that sing whatever they get. “From the beginning, I wanted to make sure that I was writing my own music,” she said. “I remember jotting down lyrics when I was little and trying to figure out how to make them a song, [now] I’m learning every detail and from amazing songwriters.”
But she’s not leaving her TikTok past that easily, as she danced her way through the video, sometimes by herself, and sometimes surrounded by other female dancers.
She also admitted that the one part about being an artist that she looks forward to the most is getting to perform live, “Getting on stage is such a huge part of being an artist. It’s going to be exciting to share something I’ve loved my entire life with the world and hopefully surprise people who didn’t realize this was a part of who I am.”
Addison Rae – Reaction To The Song
Twitter must have a twisted sense of humor because a lot of people on there thought that singing was not her thing and that the song was just bad. The internet has always been known to be cruel, but honestly, I want to go on record for saying that the song’s good. Then fast-forward to YouTube and you get people saying, “this was actually good I thought it was gon be bad thanks to Twitter lol.”
The video is bringing in a lot of viewers and she’s going strong, only time will tell if it will be Lorde’s “Royal” type of strong. But one thing is certain, she’s “obsessed” with her fans.
