Tom Brady Opens Up About His Desire To Unretire From Football Again

Can someone tell Tom Brady to make up his mind? Does he want to retire from football or does he not? Because it’s weird that he hasn’t made up his mind about the one thing that led to his split from wife Gisele Bündchen. But at least this time, his friends have forced his hand.

Tom Brady Says His Friends Unknowingly Forced Him Into Retirement

Tom Brady has retired twice within a space of two years, and he might as well have made it thrice if he had been allowed to successfully unretire from his retirement.

To round up the year, Brady shared numerous pictures of himself, including ones where he posed alongside his three children – Jack, Benjamin, and Vivian.

In the caption, he celebrated the highs and the lows of the past year, and shared how he’s expectantly looking forward to the future. He also thanked all those who impacted his life positively within the past year.

“I’m blessed to have family and friends filled with so much love, joy, and compassion surrounding me,” he wrote. “As you get older, you realize that this is really the only thing that matters, and I’ll never take these people for granted. Hug your kids, call your parents, tell your friends that you love them, and let’s all help make 2024 a kinder and happier year for everyone in our lives.”

In the post script, he talked about teasing his friends about retirement, revealing how they took the information to a whole new level. “The only downside to 2023 was when I was about to unretire in May and my friends threw a surprise retirement party,” he wrote. “Kind of forced my hand [laughing emoji].”

Brady first announced his retirement in 2022, before going on to reverse his decision just a month later. At the time, he went through a rough patch with his then-wife Gisele Bündchen, and it eventually led to their divorce.

In his second retirement statement, the former quarterback wrote, “Good morning, guys, I’ll get to the point right away. I’m retiring. For good,”

Brady said at the time. “I know the process was a pretty big deal last time so when I woke up this morning I just figured I’d press record and let you guys know first. So I won’t be long-winded. You only get one super emotional retirement essay and I used mine up last year. Thank you, guys, so much, to every single one of you for supporting me.”
