I can only say that Tom Cruise knows a good thing when he sees one. It may not have been more than a few weeks since news of Shakira and Gerard Piqué’s split made headlines, but best believe that Shakira is wanted!

Source Says “There Is Chemistry” Between Tom Cruise and Shakira

The race is on to claim Shakira’s hand, and with Shakira’s recent move to America with her sons, Cruise and eligible American men’s chances of wooing the Latin artist greatly improved.

According to a source, Tom Cruise and Shakira’s hang at the Formula One Grand Prix in Miami may lead to something more. Photos of the “Mission: Impossible” star, 60, and the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer, 46, recently made headlines, and while fans didn’t see more than two stars who ran into each other and decided to take a pic together and chat, stories are emerging that the pictures may be the start of something new (sorry, my head’s filled with Disney songs today).

Speaking Exclusively With Page Six, The Source Said That Cruise “Is Extremely Interested In Pursuing Her.”

“There is chemistry,” the source said of Cruise’s reaction to meeting Shakira, who split wih her longtime partner Gerard Piqué, 36, following rumors he was having an affair with now-girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti.

“Shakira needs a soft pillow to fall on, and that could be Tom,” the source noted of why things may work out between Shakira and Cruise, especially since Cruise has the benefit of being “a nice-looking guy, and he is talented.”

The source jokingly added, “and she’s not taller than him.” This may be a swipe at Cruise, whose previous spouses have always had a bit of height over him. Cruise is 5 ft. 7 and Shakira is 5 ft. 2.

The source even claimed that Cruise was so smitten by the songstress that he sent her flowers.

On Sunday, the “Top Gun: Maverick” actor and the Colombian singer were seen spending time together on the race’s starting grid. They were later seen chatting in a private hospitality suite.
