Tom Cruise Flies Through Mission Impossible 8 For New Projects!
Mission Impossible fans might want to look to the skies. Because if you see a tiny object soaring, it just could be Tom Cruise. And the actor has a special motivation to fly through Mission Impossible 8. Would you believe Cruise the song and dance man? Deadline reported that Tom won’t take a break even as Top Gun: Maverick makes box office records.
Instead, Cruise has joined producer Christopher McQuarrie to work on a flock of projects. And the two have plotted a dangerous stunt for Tom. Featured in Mission: Impossible 8, the speed-flying stunt requires long hours of practice for the 60-year-old actor.
But Cruise and McQuarrie also have begun work on new film projects. For instance, Tom will start in an original song and dance-style musical. And they also have begun planning a new original action film with potential for franchise. But the team reportedly seems focused on Les Grossman. Because Tom portrayed him in a cameo for Tropic Thunder, rumors have soared about the potential for a movie based on Grossman or future cameos.
Tom Cruise Wants To Sing And Dance In New Musical!
Think that the actor couldn’t possibly sing, dance, and act? For Rock Of Ages, Cruise famously worked to perform just like a rock star. And he wants to dance as well as sing in what he and his partner envision as a box office record-breaking musical.
Twitter went wild over the possibilities. For instance, one tweeted, “About time!” And another pleaded for a Tom Cruise and Jennifer Lopez dance and song number in that musical. “That would be awesome,” added the fan of Cruise and Lopez together.
But Cruise also feels excited about the as yet untitled movie he plans with Doug Liman directing and McQuarrie producing. Set to film in outer space, the movie will involve both NASA and Elon Musk’s SpaceX. Universal will serve as the studio. And the team has coordinated with film producers Elena and Dmitry Lesnevsky’s Space Entertainment Enterprise (S.E.E.). That company will work with Axiom’s commercial space station Axiom Station, in turn linked to the International Space Station (ISS).
