Tom Cruise – Obsesses Over Outdoing Brad Pitt!

In a feud that sees one famous movie star determined to outdo the other, Tom Cruise feels like Brad Pitt just fueled the feud. And the Top Gun star reportedly has become even more determined to win over the Babylon actor. But with the Golden Globes nominations overlooking Cruise, Pitt currently leads the race, revealed an insider via Geo.

And the source shared what happened recently over the Golden Globes. Because Pitt received a Golden Globe nomination, Cruise got upset. And Tom nearly “blew a fuse,” added the insider over getting overlooked for his film, Top Gun: Maverick. 

However, it hurt even more because the Mission Impossible actor felt so certain that he would score with a Golden Globe. As a result, the news that Brad received the recognition for his role in Babylon made Tom irate. And the source explained. “Tom expected to walk away with the award for best actor. So you can imagine his reaction when he wasn’t even on the list,” added the insider. “He totally blew a fuse!” the source said.

Tom Cruise – Had Already Penned Acceptance Speech

Because of Cruise’s certainty, he even began writing an acceptance speech for a Golden Globe. And the awards show marked “the first time in years that Tom was so sure he had a slam-dunk win he was fine-tuning his acceptance speech,” added the source. However, Tom previously returned his Golden Globe awards for  Born on the Fourth of July, Jerry Maguire and Magnolia.

And though Cruise did so to showcase the need for diversity, he may have destroyed future chances, according to the insider. “Tom took a stand,” summed up the source. “And no doubt it didn’t go over well with them. A lot of people are convinced that’s the real reason he was snubbed.”

But whatever the reason, Cruise reportedly feels Pitt “milked his relationship with the foreign journalists at the Globes to get his own movie” all the nominations. And at the end of the day, Tom still feels “obsessed” over outdoing Brad. “As far as Tom’s concerned, this snub is all Brad’s fault!” the insider said.

However, while the source claims Cruise blames Pitt, Twitter commentators disagreed. For instance, one social media commentator asked, “Why does Tom Cruise hate Brad at this level?” And others pointed to Cruise giving back his awards as the real reason for not getting a Golden Globe nomination.
