On Friday, Dec. 23, an LA court found Tory Lanez guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion on her feet back in 2020. The shot fired by Tory Lanez at Megan left a bullet fragment on the “savage” singer’s feet.

In a statement released by Megan back in July 2020— concerning her gunshot injury, the singer said, “I suffered gunshot wounds, as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me. I was never arrested, the police officers drove me to the hospital where I underwent surgery to remove the bullets.”

According to Megan, she and Tory were on their way back from a pool party hosted by Kylie Jenner when Tory brandished a gun, screamed at her to dance, then began shooting at her feet. In the process, the bullet hit her and got her injured.
The trial began on Monday, Dec. 12, and was concluded this Friday, December 23. During Megan’s testimony, she maintained her stance that the “Say It” rapper whose real name is Daystar Peterson fired a gun at her feet and injured her in the process.
“I’m in shock. I’m scared. I hear the gun going off, and I can’t believe he’s shooting at me.”

Megan also testified in court that Tory offered her and her then-friend Kelsey Harris the sum of $1 million if they didn’t alert the cops. It was a policeman that actually took Megan whose real name is Megan Pete to the hospital for treatment.
During the trial, Tory’s attorney George Mgdesyan claimed that Tory didn’t fire a gun at Megan rather, it was Megan’s then-friend Kelsey who did the shooting because she was jealous of Megan. George claimed Tory tried to stop the shooting.
Things took a funny turn in court on day 3 which was Wednesday, Dec. 14. It happened that when Kelsey was called to testify, she denied remembering what went down that night.
Kelsey’s denial continued until a video interview she had in September 2022 was produced and played in court. There and then she admitted to being attacked with Megan by the rapper.

The Jury which consisted of seven women and three men found Tory guilty of: assault with a semiautomatic firearm, having a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.
According to CBS News, Tory is likely to face over 23 years in prison, and possible deportation back to his home country Canada. Also, Pending his sentencing on January 27, Tory will remain in a Los Angeles prison.
While his chargers were being read, Tory looked every bit unperturbed. After the verdict, Megan’sttorney Alex Spiro said “The jury got it right. I am thankful there is justice for Meg.”
Meanwhile, Tory’s attorney George disagrees with the verdict saying, “There was not sufficient evidence to convict Mr. Peterson. We believe this case was not proven beyond a reasonable doubt. We will be exploring all options including an appeal.”
Moments after the verdict was read, Tory’s father Sonstar Peterson yelled, “This wicked system stands judged before God almighty!” prompting officers to swoon around him and try to lead him out of the courtroom.
Before he was led out of the courtroom Sonstar pointed his fingers at the prosecutors and screamed, “You two are evil, wicked people. You know exactly what you did.”
Among the people present in the courtroom during the trial were three little children including Tory’s son, and Tory’s stepmother. At the reading of his charges, one of the children, a little girl broke down in tears while hugging Tory’s stepmother.
Also, at the end of the whole thing, prosecutors couldn’t help but be amazed at Megan’s courage and how she handled the whole thing strongly.
District Attorney George Gascón told Megan in a statement, “You showed incredible courage and vulnerability with your testimony despite repeated and grotesque attacks that you did not deserve. You faced unjust and despicable scrutiny that no woman should ever face.”
