Because of his music legacy, Barker’s followers challenge headlines about “Kourtney Kardashian’s husband.” And instead, they want to see descriptions such as “the amazing drummer of Blink-182.” But the backlash thus far doesn’t seem to have impacted the focus on Travis as the reality TV star’s husband. As a result, fans feel that the media has downsized Barker’s musical history to marrying a reality TV star!

For instance, one fan complained that headlines ignore Travis’ “life achievement.” And instead, the media seems “obsessed” with the fact that Barker tied the knot with the KUWTK star. However, some of the recent attention follows Barker’s hospitalization for a life-threatening illness. And in those media reports, stories focused on how Kourtney stayed by her husband’s side throughout his scary attack of pancreatitis.

Travis Barker – Heads Back To Work After Life-Threatening Illness

But recently, Barker returned to work. And his fans hope that Travis’ renewed focus on music will change the perception that he exists only as Kourtney’s hubby. The drummer’s return occurred in the wake of his hospitalization, reported TMZ. 

Driving a Mercedes G Wagon, Travis parked in a Calabasas, California, studio to make his return. And the Blink-182 drummer looked upbeat behind his dark sunglasses. Sporting a D.O.A. t-shirt, Barker exchanged fist bumps with the studio operator as he began work.

Once inside the studio, other musicians benefited from Travis’ assistant’s food and coffee support. And the group reportedly rocked out for hours. However, the scene dramatically contrasted with Barker’s social media report just last week. “During the endoscopy, I had a very small polyp removed right in a very sensitive area,” shared Travis. “Usually handled by specialists, [it] unfortunately damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube. This resulted in severe life threatening pancreatitis,” shared Barker.
