Find out why some of Travis’ fans think that the Blink-182 drummer has become a Jenner-Kardashian clan clone. And learn how Barker’s new beauty business got dubbed inauthentic. Get all the details below.
Travis Barker – Unveils New Beauty Biz Just Like A Kardashian!
Kim Kardashian recently showed off her new skincare line. And Kylie Jenner has become famed for her cosmetics. As a result, when Travis Barker unveiled his own new beauty biz, his fans hit the comment button to proclaim him a Kardashian-Jenner clan clone. And some went even further, believing that Kourtney orchestrated the roll-out.
Barker’s new products focus on skincare. And the punk rocker has decided to market his new line via his wellness brand, Barker Wellness Company. Travis shared his slogan on social media, per Yahoo. But his mantra about his skincare offerings sparked a backlash.
“Good [and] vegan,” boasted Barker about his new skincare. “Rub it all over your body. #barkerwellness.” However, the drummer’s fans didn’t seem to pick up on that advice. For instance, one responded, “He could have done something so much more authentic to him! Custom temporary tats, a hand cream/salve for dry hands good enough for drummers.”
Travis Barker – Becomes ‘Kardashianized’?!
But the Blink-182 drummer also took a hit for how he priced his products. For instance, Barker charges $95 for a facial cleanser and face mask. And a Renewal Balm sparked a backlash at $140. Because others in the Kardashian clan often get slammed for overpricing their products, some fans proclaimed Barker as having gone through a “Kardashianization.”
As a result, fans slammed Kourtney’s new hubby for not caring about consumers. For instance, one wrote, “$130 FOR EYE SERUM. I’M SCREAMING.” And another pointed out, “95 dollars for a cleanser?! to literally wash down the drain?!” However, some found proof that Barker got “Kardashianized” in his own statements.
“Kourtney has taught me consistently is key when it comes to skincare,” announced Kourtney’s obedient hubby. “And now I’m seeing results.” However, starting a new beauty biz follows other examples of how Travis obeys his wife.
For instance, when Kourtney wanted to welcome a baby into the world with Barker, she tried various holistic theories. And Travis followed her lead. As a result, the two ate quail eggs and went on a strict cleanse. That cleanse eliminated sex, caffeine, alcohol, sugar, and exercise for two weeks.
