Travis Kelce Booed at the NBA Playoffs
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship hasn’t slowed down. There’s still a lot of talk about them. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end attended the NBA playoffs on Sunday, May 26. He sat in the front row and watched the Dallas Mavericks compete against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Travis got booed when he appeared on the jumbotron. The crowd went wild for his teammate, Patrick Mahomes, with whom he attended the event. Patrick was born and raised in Texas, which could be the reason behind the crowd’s reaction.
Travis Kelce was a good sport about being booed. He clutched his chest as he looked up at the jumbotron with a shocked expression. He’s learning how to handle things with grace like his famous girlfriend.
The Dallas Mavericks beat the Minnesota Timberwolves that night, 116-107. They took a 3-0 lead in the Western Conference Finals. Travis and Patrick are enjoying their downtime from the NFL season. They showed their support for the NBA teams.
This comes after Travis followed Taylor Swift on the European leg of her ongoing Eras Tour. She changed up some of the sets. The singer unveiled the new set for The Tortured Poets Department, her latest album.
Travis danced and cheered during some of the songs, including “So High School,” which is about their relationship.
The Price of Overexposure
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are at risk of becoming overexposed. In January, his managers revealed a detailed plan for when it could happen. André and Aaron Eanes shared how they’re handling Travis’ rising fame in a profile published with The New York Times.
The twins shared they have “positioned Travis to be world famous.” It’s still in the back of their minds that he could end up overexposed. Both also denied the claims that Taylor never planned to make Travis a big star. Travis’ newfound fame has won him over with the Swifties.
Travis Kelce’s team is concerned about “oversaturation.” They wonder if Taylor Swift’s fans would “grow numb at the sight of him.” In the next year, the duo’s focus is for the NFL star to secure “fewer details,” so he comes off as more authentic.
