Travis Kelce Invests In Racehorse That Shares Name With Taylor Swift

If it’s named Swift, it’s probably incredibly lucky and safe for you to dunk your money into. At least that’s the new Travis Kelce motto. Hmm…just wondering if I should change my name to Swift to see if he’ll randomly throw money at me (ha ha, but still not kidding).

How Travis Kelce Came To Invest In Racehorse Named Swift Delivery: “No-brainer”

“Travis Kelce joins Team Valor International & Gary Barber in ownership of 3-year-old SWIFT DELIVERY,” was the announcement that’s gotten the Swifties buzzing.

Men take notes: if it comes to finding your lucky bet, look for a horse that shares a name with your partner. To hell with lucky numbers and common sense.

Here’s the thing, the horse wasn’t even necessarily named after the ‘Bad Blood’ hitmaker. It was all a coincidence and a happy one at that.

“It’s very exciting,” Irwin told Associated Press during a phone call. “I met him at the Kentucky Derby and got to spend some time with him and stuff, and we talked about horses and everything. When this horse came to light and it was owned by one of my partners already, with the name I figured this has got to be a no-brainer.”

In his last two starts at Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto, Swift has managed to secure the winning title. He will be racing at Woodbine on Saturday, so we’ll see how it fends soon after drawing the investment of the NFL star.

Jason Kelce – Reacts To Brother Travis Kelce’s Investment With Taylor Swift Lyric

Karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me… Or his brother congratulating him on his latest venture into the world of horseracing.

“But does it have an enlarged heart…. Can this horse do it with a broken heart! @tkelce,”Jason teased in the X post, referencing Taylor Swift’s hit song ‘I Can Do It With A Broken Heart.’

Kelce is joining in the line of famed athletes who have decided to try their hands in horseracing, including former MLB All-Star Jayson Werth, who is part of the ownership group of Belmont Stakes winner Dornoch, and NHL defenseman Erik Johnson.
