Travis Scott Ignores 1-Year Astroworld Tragedy Anniversary

In the aftermath of the Astroworld tragedy, Travis Scott faced a flood of blame and anger. As a result, the rapper waited to return to social media. But he finally did. And as the one year anniversary of that tragedy occurred, many on social media looked to Travis to show compassion for families who lost their loved ones as well as the victims.

However, Scott missed that opportunity. The shocking tragedy occurred on November 5 last year. And a crowd crush during the first night of the 2021 Astroworld Festival resulted in the death of 10 individuals, noted the Sun.

Held in Houston, Texas, the music event founded by Travis also resulted in numerous injuries. But the 31-year-old rapper chose to avoid any show of sorrow on his social media. And instead, he seemed to seek the spotlight by turning it on his relationship with his girlfriend Kylie Jenner.

As a result of Scott’s social media post on the one year anniversary of the Astroworld tragedy, his followers slammed the rapper. And he focused on posting the perfect picture of himself posing with his girlfriend Kylie. Jenner even dressed up for the occasion, showing off her perfect figure in a black dress with spaghetti straps and a low-cut neckline.

In addition to posing with his girlfriend, Travis posted a photo of the sunset. But none of his social media shares offered any mention of the Astroworld tragedy anniversary.  And social media quickly reacted with anger.

For instance, one critic wrote, “A very poor attempt to make us forget about what day it is.” And another noted that Scott’s failure seemed “disappointing. But not surprising.” However, several referred specifically to the multiple deaths.
