Vanessa Hudgens Dabbles In Witchcraft

High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens is all grown up, and the former Disney Channel sweetheart has distanced herself from the wholesome tween movies over the past decade and has taken on much darker roles.  Vanessa Hudgens’ latest project, “Dead Hot,” is definitely not mainstream, and we are here for it.

On Friday April 14, Vanessa Hudgens’ new film “Dead Hot” premiered on the streaming service Tubi.  The film is actually a documentary and follows Vanessa and her friend GG Magree to Salem, Massachusetts where they explore the historic city and the home of the infamous Salem Witch Trials.  Salem is a supernatural hotspot and Vanessa will also meet some ghosthunters on her journey.

Vanessa is a huge fan of the supernatural and this really sounds like her “passion project.”  In an interview with InStyle the High School Musical star explained, “I’ve always felt really connected in a way I could never explain.  I was filming The Princess Switch 2 or 3 and I had my first conscious witchy awakening. I was learning about the history of the women who were wrongfully accused of witchcraft and learning about what witchcraft even is.”

“I will always be curious. My questions are never-ending, but that’s what I love about it,” Hudgens told InStyle about her experiences depicted in Dead Hot.  There is no right or wrong, there’s no rule book. It evolves with you and you have to trust your intuition to guide you.  It’s a really beautiful, evolving relationship that I have with it.”

Dead Hot Documentary On Tubi

Vanessa Hudgens’ “Dead Hot” already seems to be generating some buzz on social media, and is definitely going to help bring in the tourists in Salem this Fall.  If you weren’t aware, Salem is actually a tourist hotspot on the East Coast during the fall seasons and brings in millions of visitors to their historical museums, haunted houses, ghost tours, and delicious fresh seafood restaurants.
