For many years, the Beckhams have proudly worn the title of Hollywood’s power couple, but these days, they’re happy to fly under the radar. Yes I know, house of Beckham wants to become more “discreet,” didn’t think you’d see that, did you?

In her new Harper Bazaar interview published on Nov. 4, Victoria admitted that she and her husband are not only choosing to withdraw from public life, but are actually loving the peace that privacy brings.

The fashion designer said that it’s “just how we want to conduct our lives right now,” adding, “I suppose it used to be fun to go out and be chased by paparazzi walking down Bond Street — and you would dress knowing you were going to get that. I don’t want that any more.”

In short, she is no longer walking down the street wishing the paparazzi would capture the amazing outfit she’s wearing or the way she styled her hair or rocking a new pair of shades. She’s in a new era.

The most significant change in her life is that she’s no longer seeking attention or even public approval. “I’ve been doing this too long. I suppose I did when I was growing up but, nowadays, there’s just too much going on; too busy; too many kids to worry about. I woke up at 50, and I gave a s— less,” she explained.

Victoria Beckham – Talks About Her Booming Fashion Brand

Look at any red carpets these days and see if you won’t find a Victoria Beckham ensemble standing out amongst the Guccis, the Tommy Hilfigers and the Louis Vuittons or something. It wasn’t easy to make Victoria Beckham a global brand, but she’s excited about how far the brand has come since she launched it nearly two decades ago.

“It’s a huge accomplishment,” she gushed. “The company has been through so much over the last 17 years — ups, downs, restructuring… it’s been quite the journey. So, finally, to be able to say we’re profitable is something I’m so proud of, because it’s not an easy industry, and it’s getting harder and harder. To be able to say that I’m selling clothes right now, when you look at how luxury is struggling…”

Part of the success, according to her, came from her decision to move to Paris Fashion Week two years ago. It was one of those times she took the time to savor her success, saying, “I actually gave myself a little pat on the back.”
