Wayne Brady Reveals Major Step He'll Take After Acknowledging He Doesn't Want More ChildrenYou’ve never met a blended family like Wayne Brady‘s. You see, Wayne Brady was formerly married to Mandie Taketa, who he shares 21-year-old daughter Malie with.

After their divorce, Mandie started dating Jason Michael Fordham – his current business partner and friend. Together, they live as one big happy family.

However, with son Val Henry’s surprise birth, Wayne Brady is finally ready to make the ultimate decision anyone can make.

Wayne Brady Says He’s Serious About Getting A “Vasectomy”

On Monday, Sept. 23, Wayne and his family appeared on The Talk, where he freely opened up about how people urged him to get a vasectomy so many times, and why he has only just begun to seriously consider it. The reason why is that he considers having children that are too spaced in age a “painful” experience.

The talk show host Sheryl Underwood then asked about the “running joke,” but Malie said she believed that the vasectomy thing had already happened. She didn’t need to wonder about it much longer because her father chimed in, “You know what? I will get a vasectomy.”

He continued: “Yeah. Look, I’ve already got two [kids]. I’m 52. I’m not Moses or somebody from the Bible that needs to go forth. Nope. I’m done. In fact, I should schedule an appointment right after the show.”

Malie jokingly replied, “Keep that seat right there. Take a self-care weekend. Get some ice. Start praying.”

Wayne Brady – On His Reaction To Learning of His Ex-girlfriend’s Pregnancy

Earlier this year, Wayne told PEOPLE how learning of Tina’s pregnancy in 2022 shocked him. “I asked the silly question that I think many men since the beginning of time have asked. “’How?’ You know how! So get past it.”

Despite this, Wayne chose to honor his role as a father in Val Henry’s life and be as present for him as he has been and continues to be for daughter Malie.

“I never want Val to grow up thinking that he should be ashamed or look back and go, ‘Oh, my dad didn’t want me,’ or he was ashamed of me.” he continued. “Because I want him, in his own way, to know that I love him as much as I love Maile, who is of me and that I had a part in creating. So I had to do that work.”
