An alleged friend of Wendy Williams spoke out about her guardianship. The person claims it’s worse than Britney Spears‘ conservatorship.

In an interview with The U.S. Sun, Regina Schell addressed her concerns over the former talk show host. She also shared details about the type of guardianship that Wendy is under.

Sabrina Morrissey is Wendy’s court-appointed guardian. She wasn’t familiar with the former radio host before she took control in 2022. Wendy’s son, Hunter Jr, was her guardian. Regina talked about the severity of this situation.

“This is a Britney Spears thing, only it’s worse since it’s not even Wendy’s family who has control,” Regina told The U.S. Sun. “At least with Britney Spears it was her dad, it was her family, this is a woman who’s not even family. And how does this guardian get all this standing?”

Wendy Williams tried to regain control of her finances. She filed a lawsuit against Wells Fargo, which prevented access to her bank accounts. The major bank seized her accounts and filed a petition for temporary financial guardianship. Wells Fargo claimed that Wendy was of “unsound mind.”

Regina revealed that Wendy spoke to a financial expert with the Bank of America, so she could get control of her finances. She wants to purchase real estate. The person that Wendy met was Sabrina, who was granted temporary guardianship since.

“She should be surrounded by friends and family right now, not isolated and alone,” Wendy’s former friend said.

Wendy Williams’ Former Friend Speaks Out

This isn’t the first time that Regina spoke to The U.S. Sun. She previously spoke to the outlet about how she cared for Wendy Williams throughout 2022. Regina got along with Wendy’s sister Wanda Finnie and her guardian. They worked together to focus on Wendy’s needs.

Sabrina disappeared from the picture, at the time. It all started when Wendy couldn’t receive her meal deliveries on time. Regina slammed Sabrina in the group chat. She also recalled times when the former television personality would go hours without food.

“When I went back to Los Angeles, I would have to send her food from Los Angeles to New York from a delivery service, because she wasn’t getting… the communication wasn’t there,” Regina explained. “And she had no other access to money other than this guardian.”
