Fans Call Out Angelina Jolie’s “Sad” Look For the Cover of Vogue Mexico

Angelina Jolie may have worn one of the chicest LBDs made by iconic fashion house Christian Dior and posed for celebrity photographer Dan Martensen, but it wasn’t enough to thrill fans about her latest cover shoot.

Vogue Mexico released the picture on Instagram on November 26 to their 1.5 million fans, and fans had a lot of things to say about it. “That’s quite an unflattering shot of Angelina Jolie. Not her best angle. That being said, I like the coloring and the simplicity of it all,” one fan observed, with another noting, “She looks really sad here, like she got the worst possible news just before she walked on set.”

Another chose to blame the camera crew for what they saw as a picture that was not up to par, writing, “These look like outtakes. It takes skill to make Angelina Jolie look this bad.”

In my eyes, she doesn’t look sad. She looks simple and accomplished, as a woman, as a mother, and as an actress.

If you watched ‘Maria,’ then you will know that Jolie brought a lot to the table playing the Opera singer, Maria Callas. But perhaps one of the most beautiful things she brought was her voice, her very beautiful and emotionally laden voice.

“I had to take a deep breath and let it all out, and in between that, I also had to let out my real voice… which I also didn’t really have, because it’s where I carried my private pain, my gentleness, and a lot of things that I felt I didn’t own, that I didn’t feel safe letting out, it also involved owning something that I didn’t want to deal with,” she shared.

“There’s something that happens in these beautiful pieces of music that you can’t sing unless you can access a certain part of yourself,” she added.
