According to The Kardashians spoilers, Kylie Jenner wanted to buy back the control of the brand that started with her lips. People close to the Hulu star told Fortune she was interested in receiving her portion of the business.

Last year, Kylie talked with Coty about buying back the 51% stake in her company. However, there were disagreements over the valuation of the company.

In August 2023, a spokesperson for Coty declined to comment to Fortune. Kylie didn’t speak out about buying back her portion of the company. Instead, she quietly promotes it every so often.

Back in July, Coty revealed that sales for Kylie Cosmetics doubled in percentage in the previous quarter. This was due to its presence in retail stores such as Macy’s.

Kylie Cosmetics was also introduced to the Dubai market at the height of her new mascara’s release. The company never revealed specific numbers.

Kylie Jenner became a so-called self-made billionaire and businesswoman when she founded Kylie Cosmetics alongside her mom Kris Jenner. It all started with her ever-popular lip kits.

The Kardashians Spoilers – Who Runs Kylie Cosmetics?

According to The Kardashians spoilers, there are questions as to whether Kylie Jenner bought back the company. Fans want to know who’s running it to this day.

One poster asked on Reddit: “Who tf is buying Kylie Cosmetics I never hear anyone talking about it.” The user also wanted to know who was keeping the brand in business.

One fan suggested: “At this point, COTY running Kylie Cosmetics just for the tax write-off. Because the brand has fallen miserably post-2020. All her recent launches failed to grab attention among the beauty community.”

Another user wrote: “Coty because they now have a controlling share and need to keep it alive in order to get a return on their investment and hopefully profit off of it.”

The Kardashians spoilers suggest that Kylie Cosmetics got beat out by successful celebrity beauty brands like Fenty and Rare Beauty.

Coty is doing whatever it can to keep the brand alive, such as introducing it to new markets. It was overvalued at the time of purchase. Kylie Cosmetics is always on sale at Ulta.
