Whoopi Goldberg Claims She Leaked Fake Gossip To Reveal The View’s Mole

During a recent episode of The View, Whoopi Goldberg revealed that she has leaked “false information” in the past to find out who the mole was on the show.

The panel was talking about gossiping at work. The View’s co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin notes during the segment that she catches “a gossip” by planting false information to see if it makes its rounds, where Goldberg responds, “We have done that,” while looking at other View co-host, Joy Behar.

Whoopi added that “we” did that to see who was talking; where Sunny Hostin (jokingly) noted (before the show went to break), that this was a little bit of gossip she would like to know about.

Meghan McCain was on The View from 2017 to 2021. It’s no secret that she had a tumultuous relationship with her View co-hosts while she worked on the show.

During McCain’s time on the show, there were a number of press leaks indicating behind-the-scenes drama between her and her View co-hosts. She ultimately left the talk show due to claims of bullying and work toxicity.

Most of the show’s panel is made up of left-wing Democratic supporters, while McCain is a right-wing Republican.

The View’s co-hosts and McCain had many debates over the years on the show, due to their conflicting ideas.

Megan McCain Opened Up About Her Feelings, Post-View

Ms. McCain opened up about feeling terrorized during roundtable discussions on The View, in 2023 on the You’re Welcome podcast.

She notes that when she signed on to co-host for the ABC daytime talk show, she didn’t realize she’d be yelled at, bullied, and abused for years to come, over her time there.

She states she hasn’t been on the show for years, and she’s just trying to live her life.

She adds that she didn’t know when she inked the deal to do the show that she’d have to deal with these “crazy old people” yelling about her all the time.

She notes that she’ll go “swaths” of time not thinking about them, but apparently, she’s on their mind daily, and it’s “pathetic”.
