Whoopi Goldberg had to scold The View audience. This is all because Kellyanne Conway said something about the current president Joe Biden, and also showed her support for ex-president Donald Trump.
In case you don’t know who Kellyanne Conway is, she is an American political consultant and pollster, who served as Senior Counselor to the President in the administration of Donald Trump from 2017 to 2020. She was previously Trump’s campaign manager, having been appointed in August 2016; Conway is the first woman to have run a successful U.S. presidential campaign.
Okay, so, Kellyanne visited “The View,” to promote her upcoming memoir Here’s The Deal. The chaos and division came when she was asked by panelist Sonny Hostin how she feels about the fact that the former President lost the 2020 election
.
Kellyanne’s response to the question brought a lot of booing from the fans and as she tries to defend her comments, Whoopi Goldberg quipped in, to defend her and that caused a division among the fans because some applauded Whoopi’s comments while some kept booing Kellyanne.
What Whoopi Goldberg Said That Created Division
As Kellyanne is the former Senior Counselor to the President in the administration of Donald Trump, Sonny Hostin had to ask Kellyanne her opinion on Trump’s loss in the 2020 election and Kellyanne responded with “I think it’s pretty obvious that Joe Biden is president, I don’t know why we’re still talking about this, respectfully,” she immediately stated.
Kellyanne went ahead to discuss how close she was to Donald Trump and how she thought Trump was going to win because Trump had all the capacity but still came up short, she went ahead to drop a slight insult on Joe Biden for not being up to Trump’s level but still won.
“I write extensively in this book that I am the closest person to Donald Trump to tell him that he came up short.” She continued: “He should have won huge. He had all these accomplishments, he’s running against a guy who’s stuck in a basement.”
It’s not certain whether it was her light yab on the president or her support for Trump that caused it, but the fans didn’t waste time in showing their displeasure in her comments, the fans booed Kellyanne so well that Whoopi had to step in.
Whoopi said “Let me do something before you say anything else,” she said to pause the discussion. “Listen, this is The View. This is her view and she’s talking about how she feels and what knows. Please don’t boo her.”
Many in the audience started applauding after Whoopi’s response and Kellyanne acknowledged that it was her comment about the current President that got the audience riled up.
Whoppi Goldberg’s New Movie
The “Sister Act” actress/television personality recently returned to the show as she took a break to film a new movie in Scotland titled Anansi Boys.
Whoopi returned to her usual seat at the discussion table after taking a two-week leave of absence, and as fans noticed her absence on the episode, her co-host Joy Behar explained the reason behind it.
“If you’re wondering where Whoopi is, the girl’s got a movie she’s making and she will be back when she finishes whatever she’s doing,” Joy casually explained.

The project which is actually a series is exciting for the Sister Act actress, as she previously explained that she’s been wanting to be a part of the book adaptation for a long time.
Whoopi recently expressed that she went to great lengths to assure her involvement saying: “I have been a fan of this book for a very long time and when Neil Gaiman [the author] told me it was being brought to the screen, I did everything I could to be part of it to help make people aware of Anansi and all his magic.”
The 2005 novel’s description explains that it portrays: “Mr. Nancy — an incarnation of the West African trickster god Anansi — dies, leaving twin sons, who in turn discover one another’s existence after being separated as young children.”
