Even though it’s been almost two decades since they were last together, it seems like Jessica Simpson still has a bone to pick with her ex-husband Nick Lachey.

In fact, there’s a new report that says the two exes can’t stop bickering as they seem to be attacking each other over one thing or another. Here’s what you need to know.

According to the latest edition of The Globe, for some reason or another Jessica and Nick still seem to spend their time and energy bashing each other.

The couple became household names thanks to their 2003 MTV reality show, Newlyweds. Unfortunately though, Jessica pulled the plug on their marriage by 2006. And while you’d think that they would let bygones be bygones, that hasn’t happened just yet.

One source close to the situation told the publication recently, “But the bad blood is still alive and they squabble over everything. She still thinks he’s rude, and he thinks she’s an airhead.”

Just recently, reports said that Jessica Simpson’s new television pilot based on her memoir, Open Book, just got canned. And Nick seems to be enjoying her exes’ failures, and he can’t stop gloating about it. Insiders are saying that it’s Nick’s way of still being petty over everything.

But it seems like Jessica is doing the same thing. As many fans probably know, Nick and his wife Vanessa Lachey have been getting panned for their poor hosting duties on their reality show, Love if Blind. One source said that Nick “had it coming for being so smug. He says she needs to shut her trap.”

If that weren’t enough, the tipster also says that Nick claims that he’s never read Jessica’s book, “but he always brings up stuff from it. He’s obsessed and it must drive Vanessa crazy.”

So far both Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey have not made any comments about the matter. Here’s hoping that these two can let go of some things from the past and move on with their lives already.
