You’ve probably heard the news that Lainey Wilson has been reaching out to Cyrus for a collab, and all she’s gotten from the “Bangerz” superstar is silence.

Quite alright that Wilson has been a long-time fan of Miley Cyrus, it’s kind of tricky to reach out to mega-stars asking for a collaboration. On the other hand, Wilson is coming up in the music world, having won a CMA Award for Entertainer of the Year this 2023.

National Enquirer Claims Miley Cyrus Snubbed Lainey Wilson’s Collab Request

The news might have been spread online by RadarOnline, but it was published on the National Enquirer – a famously shady tabloid.

“Lainey says that dough helped keep her family afloat and it also helped her hone her performing chops,” the National Enquirer’s source claims, per Radar. “So Miley, in a roundabout way, put Lainey on the path to the success she has now — and she’s dying to meet and work with her.”

Earlier this year, National Enquirer changed ownership when it was acquired by VVIP Ventures. So it’s possible the new ownership might want to cut the rumors out in favor of certifiable news.

However, unless Miley Cyrus and Lainey Wilson’s camp confirms this bit of news, it’s better to take it with a pinch of salt.
