The 2022 Emmys had an impressive lineup of stars in attendance, but where were the almost always-present Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston? Read on and we’ll give you the low down. So Much Win!
The 2022 Emmys was a star-studded event, to say the least, with an impressive lineup of celebrity star power. However, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston were missing despite both having had a regular history with the award ceremony, per Cosmopolitan.
After all, Jennifer Anniston won Emmys in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2020. Brad Pitt, not known for television roles, has been nominated for an Emmy five times having won but one. It’s worth noting, however, that neither Brad nor Jennifer was nominated for an Emmy this year, it is then not as huge a surprise that the two didn’t grace the red carpet with their soles.
Why Jennifer Aniston Has Laid Low
Three actors featured in one of Aniston’s projects, “The Morning Show” was given distinction; Reese Witherspoon (Lead Actress in a Drama Series), Billy Crudup (Supporting Actor in a Drama Series), and Marcia Gay Harden for Guest Actress in a Drama Series. That said, it does seem almost like a snub that at least Aniston didn’t show on the red carpet.
Aniston reportedly didn’t show in 2021 either, telling talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, “No, I will not be going,” and adding, “I think Ben Winston, our producer, and director [who’s] incredible, who put the whole thing together [will go.]”
Then, in 2021, it was such a time in the pandemic that folks were avoiding large gatherings and Aniston was not an exception. Being on Kimmel’s show was even a big deal to her. “This is a big step for me to just be here. I’m just [taking] baby steps,” she said.
What’s Brad Pitt Doing These Days?
Wondering what Brad is doing lately? So were we, so we did some digging. Turns out, Paramount Pictures just offered a first look at his upcoming film, Babylon from “La La Land” director Damien Chazelle.
“The basic idea was just to do a big, epic, multi-character movie, set in these early days of Los Angeles and Hollywood, when both of these things were coming into what we now think of them as,” Damien recently shared with Vanity Fair.
In the still shots from Babylon, we see the project’s star-studded lineup which features Pitt (obviously) Margot Robbie, and Diego Calva with appearances from stars like Tobey Maguire, Jean Smart, Olivia Wilde, Li Jun Li, Jovan Adepo, and Katherine Waterston.
