The 53-year-old actor attended the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) Annual Meeting in New York City on Monday, September 23, the day before Prince Harry’s speech. Damon attended the Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit, which Prince William had arranged, on Tuesday, September 24.
Damon’s Royal-Related Chain Of Busy Activities
According to his spokesman, the forty-year-old Duke of Sussex is in New York City on a busy solo tour to promote several of his patronages and charity efforts. Harry raised alarming concerns about the risks that children face when using social media in his memorable speech at CGI.
Meanwhile, the Earthshot Prize and Bloomberg Philanthropies collaborated to host the third annual Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit on Tuesday. This is a prelude to the fourth cycle of the esteemed worldwide environmental prize, which Prince William founded in 2020, and its awards ceremony.
The 42-year-old Prince of Wales introduced a group of 15 finalists who were vying for five awards totaling $1.3 million each to develop their creative solutions, even though he was not present at the NYC event as he was the year before. He did so via a pre-recorded video.

There were other famous people attending prince-related events in New York City besides Damon. On the same day, Chef José Andrés attended CGI and the Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit.
On September 24, Katie Couric appeared on stage at CGI after she and Harry had participated in a panel discussion for African Parks the night before.
Andrés, a 55-year-old humanitarian relief worker, is the creator of World Central Kitchen (WCK), a nonprofit dedicated to feeding underprivileged areas.
The Archewell Foundation, which is led by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, funded WCK as the first charity in 2020, according to The Telegraph.
Since then, the two have worked together to establish four Community Relief Centers across the globe, including one that provided meals to residents of Ukraine during the Russian invasion.

Activists Wanjira Mathai and Nemonte Nenquimo have joined Andrés on the Earthshot Prize Council, which already includes a great list of awardees such as Prince William, Queen Rania of Jordan, Cate Blanchett, Sir David Attenborough, Stella McCartney, Indra Nooyi, and others.
William launched an international initiative called the Earthshot Prizes in 2020 with the intention of promoting workable answers to the most important environmental issues that humanity will face in the ensuing ten years.
This council is in charge of choosing the winners.
The most recent Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit took place in London after the first-ever Earthshot Prize Innovation Camp, which Prince William attended in June. It also falls on the same dates as Climate Week NYC and the 79th UN General Assembly.
More Charitable Activities For The Duke Of Sussex
In August, a representative for the Duke of Sussex revealed that the Duke would be in New York City during UN General Assembly High-Level Week and Climate Week.
Climate Week is scheduled to occur from September 22 to September 29, while High-level Week is scheduled to occur from September 23 to September 27.
The spokesman stated that Prince Harry is coming to promote a number of his charitable causes and patronage in addition to taking part in events with African Parks, The HALO Trust, The Diana Award, and Travalyst.
The Duke of Sussex will also focus on projects related to The Archewell Foundation, the nonprofit organization he and his wife, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, co-founded.
On September 15, Prince William and Kate Middleton sent a social media message from King Charles and Queen Camilla’s office wishing Harry a happy 40th birthday, despite the lingering animosity between the brothers.
