Talkshows are now the talk of the town. Most celebrities, like Kelly Clarkson and Anderson Cooper, are turning to talkshows to leverage their fame and make more money. But not Simon Cowell. Why?

Simon Cowell – Confesses He’s Not Very “Good At Talking”
Did you guess that Simon Cowell wouldn’t be able to talk all day long? I always thought he had it in him.
In a recent interview with E! News, the 63-year-old revealed that he almost got his very own talkshow. In fact, he was so close to getting it that the only thing that could have ruined it, and did ruin it, was him walking away from the sweet deal.
As one of the world’s most notable and recognizable Brits on TV, he had his pick of companies who wanted to work with him. The problem? He did not feel up to the task.

“I got to the point where they built the set and I started to get anxious and then really stressed out, and I just walked out the meeting,” Simon exclusively told E! News.
“I just said I literally couldn’t do this. I just couldn’t talk to people all day long. I’m not very good at talking.”
Even though we won’t be seeing the “X Factor” judge make his talkshow debut, former contestants on American Idol and England’s Got Talent have gone on to secure talkshow deals, including Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson, amongst others.
For the singer of the iconic hit “Stronger”, her NBC show “The Kelly Clarkson Show” has gone on to draw in bigger and bigger fans since its launch in 2019.

On the other hand, while Jennifer Hudson’s is relatively new – having arrived in September 2022 – viewing numbers for the show are promising.
So, while we won’t see Simon Cowell yapping off all day long to satisfy his loyal audience, he still remains on the judging panel of “AGT: All-Stars” alongside Howie Mandel and Heidi Klum.
