Does this mean that there’s a way out for Heard, assuming she doesn’t appeal?
Amber Heard – Is Reportedly Suffering Financially After Spending Millions On The Court Case
We all know that legal cases can easily run into the millions, much less a high profile one that lasted for six weeks.
At the end of the gruelling and humiliating trial, Amber Heard is possibly running low on funds. Following the end of the six week trial, Heard’s team tried to have the court throw out the verdict and start all over again, a motion that was immediately dismissed by the judge.
She then made a move to appeal the case, which Depp’s team immediately countered with an appeal of their own. At the moment, there’s rumors she’s missed the deadline because she wasn’t able to deposit the bonds, but her team is yet to respond.
The “Aquaman” actress’ team reportedly also tried to reduce the amount she has to pay, even though Judge Penny Azcarate reduced the amount from $15 million due to a Virginia law capping punitive damages.
However, some believe that Amber Heard could file for bankruptcy in order to get away from paying the money she owes Depp because she does not have the resources.
How Can Amber Heard Raise Millions To Pay Johnny Depp?
Since there’s a lot of interest in the defamation lawsuit between her and ex husband Johnny Depp, Heard could write a book based on her experience.
She’s already done an interview following the lawsuit, and she could even go on more talkshows.
Of course, she’s an actress, though it’s questionable whether she’ll still get blockbuster roles or even a part in big movies after losing out to Depp.
On the other hand, Depp has gone on a successful tour with Jeff Beck since the court case ended and is currently filming a movie.
