Jada Pinkett and Will Smith have believed for years in the “fake it until you make it” philosophy of celebrity marriage. But then Jada dropped bombshells in her memoir, confessing they secretly separated years ago.
However, amid ongoing marriage problems, Will and Jada just faked family togetherness again. Keep reading for all the details.
Will Smith – Fakes Togetherness With Jada Again
Trey Smith celebrated his 31st birthday this month. And once again, his father Will Smith, 55, pretended that his marriage with Jada Pinkett, 52, remains solid. Both Jada and Will turned to social media to share their love for Trey on his birthday via Hello.
Will co-parents Trey with his ex Sheree Zampino. Their marriage lasted from 1992 to 1995. But just two years later, the actor tied the knot with Jada. However, they secretly separated in 2016, remaining so through the present day.
And Jada has maintained a friendship with Sheree and grown close to Trey. Her birthday tribute showed video clips from Trey’s life and part of his comments about empowerment and spirituality amid his Red Table Talk appearance.
And Jada wrote, “Happy Birthday @treysmith0011!!!! You are one of the most incredible human beings I know and I love you beyond anything you could ever imagine.”
Will Smith – Uses Music For Birthday Tributes
But for Trey’s birthday, his actor dad performed a rap of his 1998 song Just the Two of Us. And Will revised it to focus on a son and father’s relationship.
Next to the lyrics, Will wrote, “Happy Bday, T-Ball. You are responsible for some of the highest experiences of my life. You introduced me to the true definition of Love! I met God in your eyes.”
And fans responded emotionally. For instance, Busta Rhymes praised, “THIS IS SO POWERFUL!! LOVE THIS!!” And Jordin Sparks revealed “THIS IS MINE AND MY DADS SONGGGGGGG!!! I sing it to my son now.” Trey also received birthday wishes from Queen Latifah, DJ Jazzy Jeff, and his mom Sheree Zampino. She shared, “Happy Birthday my Son! You’re doing great Dad!”
The supposedly united family also recently celebrated Willow Smith’s birthday. And Jada posted various videos and pics. Because Willow’s birthday coincides with Halloween, her mom wrote, “Happy Willoween!!! I love you I love you and I love you! Happy Birthday my baby girl.”
And Willow’s grandmother Adrienne Banfield Norris reacted by dubbing her “Princess Willow.”
Meanwhile, Will cleverly created a birthday tribute featuring the first film in the Men in Black series. And he used a clip of Tommy Lee Jones from the movie with a pic of him posing with Willow. The video shows Tommy commenting, “Oh yeah, it’s worth it…if you’re strong enough.” And Will added, “being a girl dad.”
