Will Smith Makes A Joke About His Social Media Return

Will Smith Makes A Joke About His Social Media ReturnIt’s been a long time since Will Smith made a post on his social media accounts, I mean, besides the apology he issued to Chris Rock through his Youtube, and Facebook posts, Will Smith hasn’t made any new posts. The last post Smith made on social media was when he made a video apologizing for his actions at the Oscars, the action that resulted in his resignation, and a decade ban from the

On Friday, August 19, Smith posted a comic video of a chimpanzee at the back of a gorilla, the chimpanzee was trying to do what looked like scratching the back of the gorilla but the gorilla swatted the chimpanzee away. Smith captioned the post: “Me trying to get back on social media.”

Fans quickly reacted to the post without wasting time, some begged him to come back, others commented on the humor attached to the post by saying that it can only be Smith who would use a joke to return to social media.

Will Smith — Why Haven’t Chris Rock Accepted Smith’s Apology?

This is the question on almost everyone’s mind, I mean, we get that Rock was not only hugely embarrassed by Smith when Smith walked up to Rock and slap the daylight off Rock’s cheeks for making a joke out of the shaved hair of Smith’s wife, I think Rock’s ego was also somehow deflated by that action. But then, even at that, it’s been 5 months long since the incident happened, Smith has apologized publicly to Rock as well, and being that Smith is an emotional person, it’s easy to observe that the apology came from his heart, even Smith acknowledged that he took all those months to process what he did.

In case you’re just hearing it for the first time (which I highly doubt except you’ve been living under a rock) let me briefly summarize what happened that fateful Sunday evening, March 27, 2022, at the Oscars 94 Annual Academy Award. Chris Rock was called up to deliver a speech and also give the “Best Actor” award to Smith for his role in King Richard. When Rock came up, he made a joke about Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett’s bald hair saying “Jada, I love you. G.I. Jane 2, can’t wait to see it, all right?” Everyone present laughed at the joke except Jada who didn’t find it funny because her shaved hair was as a result of a medical condition she has.

When Smith saw that his wife wasn’t laughing, he walked up to Rock and delivered a sounding slap to Rock while screaming “Keep my wife’s name out of your f–king mouth.” Smith, after going on to win the Best Actor award that same night, did not apologize to Rock for the slap.

Will Smith — Contents Of Smith’s Apology Video To Rock

Last month, July 29, the Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air actor, 53, made a video which he posted both on his Facebook page, and Youtube, the video was captioned “Been a minute.” In the video, Smith said he has given a lot of thought to what he did at the Oscars and, also replied to the question of why he didn’t apologize to Rock at the Oscars, Smith explained that he did reach out to Rock so that he can directly apologize to Rock for Smith’s behavior at the Oscars but he was told that Rock is not yet ready to talk but will reach out to Smith when he is ready.

Smith said, “So, I will say to you, Chris, I apologize to you, my behavior was unacceptable, and I’m here whenever you’re ready to talk.” Smith went on to acknowledge that he handled the situation wrongly, Smith also took the liberty of explaining that, the general speculation that it was due to Jada’s reaction to Rock’s joke that prompted him to slap Rock, that Jada didn’t instruct him to do so. Smith said, “I made a choice on my own from my own experiences and my history with Chris. Jada had nothing to do with it. I’m sorry, babe.”
