Editorial credit: Silvia Elizabeth Pangaro / Shutterstock.com Did you know that Will Smith was once a hip-hop star? No? Well, it’s been such a long time that it’s either kind of fading from our memories or it wasn’t even there in the first place.

The good thing is that the ‘Bad Boys’ star has decided to remind us again what the wild ’80’s and ’90’s were like with brand new music.

But music isn’t the only thing we’ll be getting from the Will Smith this time… There’s a tour on the horizon.

Will Smith To Tour Europe and the UK With New and Classic Hits

On March 28, fans will receive Smith’s first album in 20 years. Little known fact? Will Smith was actually a fledgling musician before he got his big break in acting via the series, ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.’ With his acting career taking off, he had less time to spend on being a musician.

Happily, the star has decided to do something he’s never done before. Give fans a headline tour.
In a post shared on Instagram, Smith announced the upcoming album, writing, “It’s OFFICIAL!!

My new album Based On A True Story drops March 28. TWO WEEKS!! Hit that presave. Been working on this project for a minute and I’m itchin’ to get it out to y’all.”

A little while later and he followed it up with more good news: “I’M GOING ON TOUR THIS SUMMER!! We’re hitting up UK & Europe to bring U all the hits, some new joints, and a few surprises. All these years, I’ve NEVER done a headline tour and I can’t wait to see you guys!!”

The UK leg of the tour is slated to kick off on August 24 at Scarborough Open Air Theatre, followed by dates in Cardiff’s Bute Park on August 25, Manchester’s Victoria Warehouse on August 27, London’s Brixton Academy on August 28, and the University of Wolverhampton Halls on August 30.

In between the tour, he will also make appearances at festivals, including the Mawazine festival in Rabat, Morocco.

Fans can expect to hear old classics like ‘Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It’ and ‘Miami.’ It’s possible he could be dipping into his archives to resurrect his UK no. 1 hit single, ‘Men In Black,’ which was released to accompany the alien spy thriller of the same name.

His first single, ‘Beautiful Scars,’ featured rapper Big Sean. He promoted it with a ‘The Matrix’-style music video.
