Elon Musk – Allegedly Supported Errol Financially
For a while now, folks on Twitter tried to disprove that the brilliant young man made his way through university by taking out a student loan and working to pay it back. Actually, there are rumors that his dad owned an emerald mine. However, it’s never been proven. Back in the 90s, Errol clearly had some money, as he related how he shot some intruders in a rental of his based in the upmarket suburb of Sandton.
Elon Musk said that he helped to financially support his father who went broke in the 1990s. Actually, it might have been around about the time that the shooting incident happened. Pretty much everyone knows that Elon likes to increase the size of his family and he obviously cared about his extended family. So, on Twitter, he mentioned his extended family, but he only looked after Errol if he didn’t do bad things.
Errol – The Dad Of Elon Musk Shot And Killed Intruders
The Sun reported about an exclusive story by Errol. Apparently, he went to visit the property that he was going to rent out and some intruders were inside. His daughter, Ali, was still a little kid and she went off to take a bath. But when he walked into the “lounge area,” intruders opened fire on him. Uninjured, he ran back to where he left his weapon and started shooting back. At the time, and even more these days, such encounters are not unusual in South Africa.
Unlike Elon Musk who was too young to fight a war, his dad told the outlet, that he once won the “South African National Defence Force’s shooting championships.” So, it’s unsurprising that he claimed to have shot and killed three of the intruders. He said that his hollow bullet took off “half” of one guy’s head and shrapnel killed another one. Additionally, it seems he hunted down another one. The police attended and he was charged with “manslaughter over the incident but was acquitted because he acted in self-defense.”
Would Errol Be Acquitted In 2022?
The dad of Elon Musk might not get off so easily if the same thing happened right now. The law is complex, as Oscar Pistorius found out. The right to self-defense is technical, and on the minds of a lot of folks who feel vulnerable. According to Woman’s Warehouse, a South African website, you can’t inflict more force than what you are facing. So, it would seem okay that Errol fired back.
However, there’s a big “BUT.” He said, “They ran as soon as I fired my first shot.” One of them tried to sneak away, but he shot him as well. According to the legal article, these days, a person can only do an “act of self-defense” if it “was needed to prevent the attack from escalating.” In his own words, Errol admitted that the survivors ran as soon as he started shooting. Possibly, the courts would not be sympathetic now. After all, he had already prevented the attack from escalating when he fired and the intruders ran.
