All My Children Alum Susan Lucci Shares Heartbreaking News
Susan Lucci, who is best known for her role as Eric Kane on All My Children, posted a tribute to her “spunky” mother Jeanette Lucci on her Instagram account. Susan noted that she was able to be with her mom, who was in hospice during the time of her death. She also opened up about her mother’s life, how much she loves her and how she was someone who learned how to always survive and thrive.
Sharing a throwback photo with her mom Jeannette, Susan wrote, “Celebrating my mom’s 100th birthday with her—four years ago. There were toasts to her and stories of her growing up in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains and lots of love and music and laughter. But, three weeks ago I received a call saying that my mother had suddenly taken a turn towards end of life—I only hoped and prayed I would get to her in time—I am eternally grateful to God and her wonderful hospice nurses, that I did. I was there with her, I was able to tell her all the good things about her, how much I love her, how proud I have always been of her—and hopefully bring her peace. I posted a Happy 104th Birthday tribute to my mom in March—but some things bear repeating. I’ve always mentioned how spunky my mom was—I’m sure that determination really helped her to reach 104!”
