We’ve got a spoiler alert for you! There are new reports that indicate that both All My Children and One Life to Live might get the reboot treatment. As a matter of fact, one ABC executive says that it’s something that is definitely being discussed behind the scenes. So, does this mean that some of our favorite character might be getting a second chance? If so, someone needs to get Susan Lucci on the phone! Here’s what you need to know.
A Second Chance In The Soap World
For the second time in a matter of months there has been talk about bringing back All My Children and One Life to Live on the canvas. Karey Burke, who is currently ABC’s entertainment president, recently hinted that there have been “conversations” going on about the soaps and what direction the network will soon take. More recently, she make comments during the Television Critics Association that indicated some changes are definitely going to be made.
While she says that there’s nothing to report as of press time, she did say that there’s a very good chance that we might see some of our favorite soaps back on the small screen in no time. Burke said, “We’re really looking at everything, which includes other models and ways of telling those stories.”
More Than Just One Life To Live
As many fans can remember, All My Children was “killed off” in 2011 with One Life to Live shortly thereafter. But as many daytime television fans even know, no one is really dead when it comes to the world of soaps, right? These shows might end up coming back from the dead just like so many of our beloved characters throughout the years. At least, that’s what our hope is!

So far ABC has not made any comments about the future of daytime television but fans are still hoping for the good news. Even though we love General Hospital, The Bold and the Beautiful, The Young and the Restless and Days of Our Lives, there’s always room for more. We will definitely update you with more information as it comes in. For now, we will just continue keeping our fingers crossed!
