ABC All My Children spoilers reveal the historic news that husband and wife team Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are working to develop a primetime version of the uber-popular daytime drama All My Children.
Deadline reports that the couple, who met when they starred in AMC as Hayley and Mateo Santos, is working with AMC super fan Andrew Stearn and Robert Nixon, the son of AMC creator Agnes Nixon, to create a primetime spinoff titled Pine Valley. Fans today are more familiar with Ripa as the Live with Kelly and Ryan talk show host but who can forget her debut scene on AMC when she blew out the entire electrical grid in Pine Valley with her hairdryer?!
Kelly Ripa And Mark Consuelos Are Looking To Reboot The ABC Daytime Soap They Starred In
Pine Valley will be written by Star and EastEnders scribe Leo Richardson. The show will center on a reporter who comes to Pine Valley, Pennsylvania, the location of AMC, with a secret agenda. It seems that the clever journalist is in Pine Valley to dig up the legendary locale’s dark and infamous history but things don’t turn out the way they expected as the person instead finds themselves engulfed in a feud between the Kane and Santos clans all the while digging up the dirt on them!
Will You Be Watching The AMC Reboot Titled Pine Valley?
As you might expect, the reboot will feature fan-favorite characters from AMC but also a bumper crop of newbies to thrill and excite fans. As of this date, there are no classic AMC cast members who have signed on the dotted line but you can trust that the team is planning to reach out and invite them back.
And what would an AMC spinoff be without appearances by the legendary Ripa and Consuelos who met and fell in love on the show? It’s said that like its AMC progenitor, Pine Valley will tackle topical social and political issues while featuring a decidedly dramatic touch.
Kelly Ripa And Mark Consuelos Go Back To Their Roots
Ripa, Conseulos, Stearn, and Albert Bianchini, will executive produce the series. Stearn signed a deal with ABC Signature with an eye toward rebooting AMC.
Stearn launched Andrew Stearn Productions after signing his deal with ABC in 2019. Stearn previously served as president of Working Title Television U.S., executive producing Netflix’s Gypsy and HBO’s The Case Against Adnan Syed. He also produced or executive produced hit shows like The West Wing, Southland, and Shameless.

I think it's great but not going to get too excited as this happened before. I miss AMC so much. It was always my fav out of all of the ones I watched. Now, without the regular cast members it might not fly. All crossables are crossed.
