However, it could come to pass as she expresses that she would like for Abi to come in between Peter and Carla. Right now, it is being hinted that Abi may cause a problem in Peter and Carla’s relationship as Carla mentions how her relationship started with Peter, which included him helping her with her addiction.
This could mean trouble ahead for the popular couple, Peter Barlow and Carla Connor. When Sally spoke with media on her recent Zoom chat, she stated, “Yeah, there is. I absolutely believe there’s that spark there with Peter Barlow because of what they had before. Abi was crazy about him, and she liked that she recognized herself in him. They both have the same way of thinking and feeling due to their addictions. Abi also likes the fact that Peter is a little bit off-center, and she’s drawn to that.”

She went on to say that she thinks that Abi would win if she and Carla got into a violent fight over Peter, “Abi would kill her. The thing is, Carla is too refined and has too much self-respect to really let herself go. Abi is just like a little alley cat. She’ll go for it and she has nothing to lose.” Abi is dating Kevin Webster played by Michael Le Vell but their relationship might be on the rocks after he learns about Abi’s relapse.

Let’s face it, Kevin’s longest relationship was with Sal, who couldn’t be any more different to Abi. I think Abi loves the stability that Kevin provides. I don’t think her heart is on fire for him.
She’s not thinking: ‘Every day is crazy and wonderful and he sets my heart on fire’. But she is thinking: ‘This is really, really lovely and secure. I feel safe and I feel I can trust this man. I’ve never had this with anyone before’. Abi recognizes that Kevin is a good man and she’s craving that. But how long she’ll crave that for is another question. I don’t think they’ll last.
