Nigel Havers, also known as Lewis Archer during his stint on “Coronation Street,” is set to star in “Private Lives.” The theatrical production, which is presented through his new Nigel Havers Theatre Company, is scheduled to launch later this year. Patricia Hodge of “West End” and “Miranda” is also part of the cast.
With the award-winning David Pugh serving as its producer, the show is set to begin its tour from October 1. The show will continue to run at Theatre Royal Bath until Saturday, October 10.
It will then move to Norwich Theatre Royal, Everyman Theatre Cheltenham, Newcastle Theatre Royal, Cambridge Arts Theatre, Richmond Theatre, Malvern Theatres, and Leeds Grand Theatre. The tour is expected to end around mid-March next year.
The story of “Private Lives” will revolve around “Elyot and Amanda, who were once married, find themselves in adjoining rooms in the same hotel on the French Riviera, both on honeymoon with their new partners.”
“Their initial horror quickly evaporates and soon they’re sharing cocktails and a romantic serenade.”
Coronation Street Spoilers – CoroHaver’s New Theatre Company
Pugh revealed that Haver gave off a wry smile when he discussed the creation of Havers’ theatre company. However, the actor eventually welcomed the idea and agreed to take 18 weeks every year to tour a play. But there was a condition.
The play has to be entertaining and the “ticket prices should be accessible to as many people as possible,” Pugh said.
Coronation Street Spoilers – Timebombs Set To Explode In Corrie
Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew) may still be fooling Corrie residents that he’s a good person who loves to do magic, but viewers know better. Fans know that he has been tormenting Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) as part of an ongoing coercive storyline. It’s still yet to be revealed how this story will end.
The fact that Gary Windass (Mikey North) accidentally killed Rana Habeeb(Bhavna Limbachia) still remains a secret and it doesn’t seem like the latter is going close to getting the justice she deserved. Until now, fans still don’t know when the revelation that he’s behind her death will happen.
Gary is also behind the death of Rick Neelan (Greg Woods). There have been plans to revisit Rick’s death storyline later this year. Obviously, it may take much longer because of the ongoing global health crisis.
Wow, so nice to see actors’ success outside of the show. Bravo Nigel Havers for creating your own theatre company.
