It all starts when Amy (Elle Mulvaney) and Summer (Harriet Bibby) catch Max (Paddy Bever) looking at an upskirting photo on his phone. The tension begins when Summer realizes it’s her in the photo. Although Amy and Asha (Tanisha Gorey) convince Summer to report the incident to the police, Summer remains silent because of embarrassment.
Because Summer can’t dare to make the authorities know about the upskirting incident, Amy confronts Max and warns him that the one behind the photos will surely be punished.
After a few days, Amy spends her time with Summer, Asha, and Aadi (Adam Hussain) telling them her discoveries about the incident and confirming that there are more students at their school who have been upskirted and harassed.
Being too embarrassed as one of the victims, Summer convinces Amy to just leave the issue behind. But it’s clear that Amy won’t listen to her as she proceeds with her plans.
‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers – Amy Barlow And Summer Spellinf Lead A Protest Inside Weatherfield High School Campus
As soon as she arrives at school, Amy goes straight to the side of the building and writes “Stop Protecting Sex Offenders” on the wall, which makes other students curious and gather around the area.
Amy’s behavior devastates headteacher Mrs. Cranshaw (Carla Mendonca) and she demands to see her for a meeting together with her mom Tracy McDonald (Kate Ford). Amy gets suspended as she commits a violation, and Tracy blames Summer for not taking action immediately about it, to begin with.
Later that day, Summer meets Amy, Asha, and Aadi at the Speed Daal and shows them her open letter regarding the harassment issue, which later becomes viral on the internet. Knowing about the social media post, the headteacher calls the attention of Summer telling her she will speak to the school’s governor to change the policy to prevent upskirting.
However, Amy and Summer get disappointed when the school issues a change that girls must wear shorts under skirts, which leads the two to plan a protest.
Later that week, Mrs. Cranshaw visits Daniel Osbourne’s (Rob Mallard) class, but she’s welcomed with an empty room. When she makes her way outside, she discovers a huge number of students taking part in the protest led by Summer and Amy.
Daniel, on the other hand, secretly connects to the Gazette, which immediately responds to document and report the event.
How will Mrs. Cranshaw handle the matter? Will Summer be also suspended from school?
