Coronation Street Spoilers – Breaking the News
In “Coronation Street” on Monday’s double bill, Corey pressured Asha to tell the police they were together at the flat during the incident and ordered her to ensure Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) won’t say anything either.
Asha met with Amy to tell Corey’s orders, but Dev interrupted and begged his daughter to move home.
When Asha returned to Corey’s flat, the police already started the investigation. Corey gave Asha an intense look to give the false alibi they previously discussed. However, Asha bravely confessed she was together with Amy on the night of the attack but still insisted Corey was innocent of the allegations.
Coronation Street Spoilers – Nina Not Forgiving Asha
It was Amy’s advice that made Asha reconsider where she stands with Corey, who still insists he is in no way responsible for the attack. Asha went to visit Nina at the hospital to give an update that Corey was arrested by the police for further investigation. However, this lover girl continued to claim Corey is innocent.
Nina was furious and heartbroken, leading her to warn her ex-girlfriend: “You just came in here to make yourself feel better–hoping I’d forgive you! Well, I don’t. I don’t forgive you! I will never forgive you!”
Coronation Street Spoilers – Gilding The Lily
Asha’s behavior was rooted in Corey’s manipulative nature. In previous scenes, he bullied and threatened her to say an alibi which caused her to defend her boyfriend’s innocence at the Weatherfield residents.
When Asha became suspicious after knowing that Nina remembers Corey before the attack, she grilled Corey with questions. But this only irked him calling Nina a “nasty little witch” and Asha “stupid” for believing her ex-girlfriend.
However, the abusive boyfriend acted apologetically: “You are my everything, Ash. It’s just painful to think that you don’t trust me.”
Coronation Street – The Joke Is On You

She is only playing to be on his side to gain his trust, hoping she can have access to Corey’s secrets.
