Coronation Street Spoilers: Carla Discovers Old Fling Lucas Has Gone Bust

Coronation Street spoilers and updates reveals Carla Connor will have her worst day in Corrie after discovering her old lover Lucas Kempton has gone AWOL with her money.

Spoilers show Carla (Alison King) attempts to contact Lucas (Glen Wallace) about an overdue payment for the Underworld but she figures out his number is no longer in use.

Carla regrettably admitted to Sarah Barlow (Tina O’Brien), who previously warned her not to trust Lucas, that they’ve been scammed. Both can only regret having done a deal with Lucas for the Underworld.

The pair head off to his office out of desperation to chase their money, only to find the place deserted. However, they discover boxes of knickers Lucas left. The pair hurriedly load the boxes of their stocks into their van and manage to escape.

Will Carla and Sarah call it even now that they reclaimed their stocks?

Coronation Street Spoilers – How The Tables Have Turned

Lucas and Carla first had their moments in Devon in 2016-2017 when working in the same company together. By that time, it was Carla who was attracted to him, but he rejected her romantic advances since he was in a long-term toxic relationship with a self-destructive girl, Lucy. Carla warned Lucas he’s trying to fix something that was already broken, referring to Lucy, who was already doomed by her actions. However, their connection turned strong as friends.

Years later, the duo has crossed roads again after Lucas, who was working for West Place Home and Lifestyle scheduled an appointment to transact orders with Underworld, where Carla works.

Lucas booked a table of two for them at the Viaduct Bistro, and although Carla was hesitant at first, she showed up. Lucas revealed Lucy died due to a drug overdose. But the tables have turned since Carla was already dealing with Peter Barlow, who was reaping the consequences of being an alcoholic.

Lucas made another move by booking a spa in Lancashire, and while Carla was about to join him, Peter begged her to remain. Carla confessed to Lucas someone needed her just like how Lucy needed him before.

At the peak of Peter’s condition, Lucas became Carla’s shoulder to cry on. Not wanting to lose his chance, he confessed he loves her and invited her to run away to Devon with him. Carla, who reached the end of the rope, visited Peter in the hospital to tell him she can’t continue with him, believing he had relapsed to his alcohol addiction. Fortunately, the doctor’s diagnosis proved Peter’s innocence.

Although she rejected Lucas and clarified that if she had run away, she wouldn’t want to be with Lucas. But he was determined to win Carla back and visited Peter to confront him in letting her go.

“Sorry mate but that dance is taken, see me and Carla we’re like two sides of the same coin. Always have been, always will be and I’ll tell you this as well you’ll never love her as much I love her,” Peter defended.

Where did Lucas go with Carla and Sarah’s money? Is this his way of taking revenge on Carla for not choosing him?
