This has affected Corrie as they would have to go through their scenes and remove the intimate scenes. Recently, it was revealed that the soap is not planning on changing their guidelines on enforcing the two-meter policy yet. The statement released stated, “There are no plans to change the working conditions. The current rules have been brought in and are working for the stories.”
Rules for Network Channels Become more Relaxed
ITV, Channel 5, the BBC, Sky, as well as some other networks have taken on the rules in order to return back to work while also keeping their cast and crew safe and sound while working. The new rules will enforce increased screening and checking the daily symptom checks for those who work closely with others throughout the day. Social distancing will also continue to be enforced by the channel networks while they are/ begin filming. These rules were put into place to allow for more interactions that may be essential to a script where there may require closer contact then the two meters that had been enforced.
