Coronation Street Spoilers – Peter Barlow’s Alcoholism
Corrie spoilers reveal that Peter has been diagnosed with liver failure due to his drinking. He initially accepted his death sentence and checked himself out of the hospital against medical advice. He told Ken Barlow (William Roache) to basically accept that he was dying and refused Carla Connor’s (Alison King) help. However, he did agree to go to treatment, which led to his recent appointment.
Bad Reaction
While Peter was waiting to be called, he started talking with a woman who was also facing liver failure. They were getting along until they started talking about what led to them being there. Hers was due to a medical condition and having an extremely rare blood group. However, when Peter (Chris Gascoyne) admitted his alcoholism got him there, she did not have a good reaction. After Peter’s appointment, he ran into the woman again who told him off, angry that someone would actually do that to themselves and then bother to get treatment. She had been waiting for two years for a transplant and was afraid she would soon be leaving her young son without a mother.
Coronation Street Updates – Daniel Osbourne’s Life-Saving Offer

Coronation Street spoilers reveal that in the upcoming week, Ken and Daniel will announce they have a proposal for him. Daniel (Rob Mallard) is willing to donate his liver to Peter. If he turns out to be a match, Peter could have a living donor and a chance to stay alive. However, it is teased that Peter will say no to the life-saving offer. Later in the week, Peter gets angry with Adam Barlow (Samuel Robertson) for telling his loved ones about a legal document. He lashes out and says that it’s his life and he will die on his own terms. Ken suggests that Peter move in with him, but only if he doesn’t touch alcohol. However, he turns down that offer as well.
Will He Live Or Die?
Even though many fans are worried that Peter could die, this story does have a happy ending. Show bosses previously confirmed that fans will see a real love story between Peter and Carla by the time this is all over. However, there was no hint that death was involved. So, perhaps someone is finally able to get through to Peter and save his life? We certainly hope so, but we will have to keep watching the ITV soap to see how this story develops.
