Coronation Street Spoilers – Abi Franklin’s Multi-Layered Struggle
Corrie spoilers reveal that it’s not just the accident that has Abi relapsing. There were multiple incidents that contributed to it. She missed the final goodbye visit with the twins, which was of course, because she was literally trapped by an engine. She also has to cope with the twins moving away with their adoptive family. Now, she has the added stress of Kevin Webster’s (Michael Le Vell) sister visiting. If that were not enough, Debbie immediately makes her disapproval known and warns Abi not to hurt Kevin.
Coronation Street Cast News -Debbie Webster’s Return
According to Digital Spy, actress Sue Devaney discussed Debbie’s return and the conflict with Abi. Devaney explained that business has brought Debbie back to Weatherfield, but misses her family. Debbie and Kevin are very close and she craved the feeling of being around her loved ones.
“Business has brought Debbie back to Weatherfield. She lives in Turkey but she was missing her family. She’s very close to her brother and I think she wanted to be around family more. The thing with Debbie is, wherever she travels and whatever she does, she always comes back home. She has never forgotten where she’s come from. She takes comfort in that and, this time around, she thinks: ‘I quite like it here’.”

Corrie Soap Spoilers – Protecting Kevin Webster
Coronation Street spoilers reveal that even though they are grown, Debbie will always want to protect her brother. This leads her to wonder if Abi is good enough for Kevin. She doesn’t want him to get hurt. She doesn’t necessarily dislike Abi, but just wants Kevin to be happy. If he is, then great! But Debbie suspects that Abi isn’t being completely honest. The last thing that Debbie wants is to see her brother being made a fool of again.
Coronation Street Spoilers – Sue Devaney Teases Conflict
The actress explained that despite giving Abi an initial warning, Debbie makes the two of them lunch. She suggests that they get to know each other better. However, right after eating, Abi disappears, which only sends off alarm bells in Debbie’s gut.

“I think she gets her nose right in the middle of things and thinks: ‘Right, what is going on?’ What she is trying to do is find out if Abi is genuine. Kevin has been hurt so many times, so Debbie wants to make sure it’s a strong relationship because he means the world to her. But Debbie is a woman’s woman and I think she is fond of Abi. There is something in Abi that she likes.”
