Corrie spoilers reveal that according to What’s On TV, MacLeod explained that the pain and suffering doesn’t end just because the abuse ends. Survivors have a long journey ahead of them and whether it’s divorce, death or even fleeing the country, many victims continue to be plagued by memories of what they have gone through. He elaborated that sometimes, the effects of abuse can last forever.

The producer added that they want to reflect real-world experiences. So,we will see Yasmeen tormented by the memories of what she went through. He isn’t just talking about the physical or mental impact of abuse, either. MacLeod mentioned for Yasmeen and her recovery could be destabilized by the fact that Geoff embezzled money from her, took out loans and so forth.
“When someone escapes their abuser – whether that be through death or divorce or, in some cases people have to literally flee the country – you might think that’s the end… In fact, it’s not. The psychological impacts of what happens in these abusive relationships can last forever…”
Coronation Street Spoilers – How Often Will Geoff Metcalfe Appear?
Coronation Street spoilers reveal that viewers are not going to like seeing Geoff. This was a very disturbing and difficult storyline for fans to watch — although we commend both King and Bartholomew on their phenomenal acting. So, how often will Geoff appear in Yasmeen’s flashbacks? It doesn’t sound like it will be too often. MacLeod said it will be “a couple more times.”

If you were hoping for happier times for Yasmeen, you are in luck. It won’t be all bad for the grandmother. The soap has some light moments ahead when she forms a friendship with Geoff’s first wife, Elaine Jones (Paula Wilcox). In fact, Eliane will play a pivotal role in Yasmeen’s recovery and there will be some humorous scenes.
“There will be an odd couple friendship, and thankfully for Yasmeen and for us, it will become quite humorous in places as we see these two survivors of Geoff rubbing along together and trying to make their way in the world as a little double act.”
